Perform.Media
September 29-October 14, 2006
Perform.Media is an exploration into the new technologies that are of interest to current technoculture, including multimedia and video, interactive and game media, virtual reality presentations, mobile and locative works, video projection installations, net art, and audio-visual improvisations. Perform.Media brings together artists, directors, writers, composers, musicians, DJs/VJs, media theorists, and university researchers in psycho-physiology, informatics, and synthetics to investigate collisions, intersections and affirmations between artistic, cultural and scientific approaches to the activity of new media performing and technology. Perform.Media presents a ground breaking first for Indiana University and the Midwest, with a festival and symposium creating intimate discussion, performances, gallery environments, presentations and workshops, both online and off.
